MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has not received any complaints on election day yet, CEC Chairperson Lidia Yermoshina told the media on 17 November, BelTA has learned.
The situation on election day remains stable. “No written complaints have been filed on election day irregularities with the Central Election Commission yet,” Lidia Yermoshina informed.
The CEC receives phone calls, but the most serious of complaints voiced by voters are related to the failure to give them invitation to come to the polls.
No complaints have been filed by international observers, either.
Lidia Yermoshina commented on the provocations that had taken place at polling stations earlier. “They are not about legal ignorance, but rather about absence of integrity,” she believes.
