MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) - Nicaragua and Belarus are in solidarity in many areas, including the opinion that there is a global re-division of the world, Nicaragua's Minister of Foreign Affairs Denis Moncada told the media after talks with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik in Minsk on 19 May, BelTA has learned.
According to him, the delegation had a task to reach an agreement with Belarus and to specify the areas with the potential to enhance cooperation. He also called the signing of the intergovernmental agreements in Minsk a “great achievement”.
“The most important thing that should be emphasized: we are in solidarity with Belarus in many areas. We agree that at the moment there is a re-division of the world. We, like Belarus, are trying to maintain security and stand up for the wellbeing of the entire world, as well as in defense of our security,” he said.
Denis Moncada expressed his gratitude to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik and expressed hope that all the agreements would receive their further development.
