MOSCOW, 19 October (BelTA) – Progress in agreeing the draft military doctrine of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will be discussed at a session of the Security, Defense, and Crime Control Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk on 26 October, the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly told BelTA.
Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will be informed about progress in agreeing the draft military doctrine. Work on the document has been going on in line with the list of priority areas and top-priority tasks concerning the future development of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in 2018-2022. Participants of the session will also discuss the advancement of military cooperation and military technology cooperation between Belarusian and Russian government agencies. Ways to improve transport security will be discussed, too.
Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the ministries of defense, internal affairs, transport, and the border services of Belarus and Russia will take part in the session.
