MP: Belarus and Russia are a model of equal cooperation between states

MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are a model of equal cooperation between the countries, member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives Sergei Dik told BelTA as he commented on the results of the talks between the presidents of Belarus and Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin in Minsk on 19 December.

“This is a landmark, historic event. The agreements that have been reached further strengthen our fraternal friendship and cooperation in the political and economic sectors and will enable our countries to withstand the difficult conditions that are now emerging in the foreign policy,” said Sergei Dik.

According to him, the Union State is an example of equal cooperation between the two countries. “Our president has stressed this numerous times. Not a younger and an older brother, but equal and mutually beneficial cooperation,” the MP said. “The cooperation is first of all based on a high level of trust between our leaders, between our peoples, shared history and a shared road ahead.”
