Moldova interested in Belarus' AI experience

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – Moldova is interested in taking a closer look at Belarus' experience in the area of artificial intelligence. Moldova President Igor Dodon made the relevant statement as he visited the Hi-Tech Park in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The Moldovan head of state praised the effectiveness of the Digital Economy Development Ordinance, which was passed in Belarus in late 2017. “Our IT park is subject to a dedicated law. But from the point of view of bureaucracy (the ministry, the government, the parliament, the president) your approach is much more effective. We have not advanced that far in the sphere of artificial intelligence yet. This is why I think that our specialists should come to Belarus and take a closer look, maybe make something together,” Igor Dodon said.

Moldova's first IT park started working in early 2018. It is now home to about 400 resident companies.

The Moldovan head of state arrived in Belarus on 20 June. He is present during the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 together with other VIP guests.
