Minsk to host Union State Parliamentary Assembly session on 2 December

MOSCOW, 10 November (BelTA) – A session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will take place in Minsk on 2 December, BelTA learned from Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin on 10 November.

According to the source, participants of the session will discuss organizational matters, the implementation of decisions of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev is expected to make a speech. Double standards of European countries with regard to refugees staying in Belarus will be discussed as well.

The delegation of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament will be represented by 24 MPs out of 36 representatives of Russia's Federal Assembly. The delegation will include representatives of all factions, respected and experienced MPs, who represent the regions bordering on Belarus, and heads of the committees, which profiles match the programs approved by the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

Vyacheslav Volodin is expected to participate in the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk.
