NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – This autumn Minsk will host an international conference on Eurasian security problems. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik talked about preparations for the conference as he met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
Imangali Tasmagambetov is in Minsk to participate in the 11th international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2023 and an offsite session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Sergei Aleinik and Imangali Tasmagambetov discussed progress in preparations for the events, which are supposed to take place in Minsk soon within the framework of Belarus' presidency over the Collective Security Treaty Organization, including a session of the Council of the CSTO Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
Sergei Aleinik and Imangali Tasmagambetov also exchanged opinions about the situation in the region. Attention was paid to advancing interaction of the Collective Security Treaty Organization with other international organizations.
Sergei Aleinik and Imangali Tasmagambetov agreed to continue regular contacts with regard to the entire spectrum of topical matters concerning foreign policy activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
