
MOSCOW, 23 May (BelTA) – A session of the Defense Ministers Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will take place in Minsk on 25 May. The session will be chaired by Belarusian Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Viktor Khrenin, CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.
Participants of the session will discuss challenges and threats to military security in regions of collective security of the CSTO member states as well as matters concerning the improvement of the crisis response system.
Participants of the session are also expected to review documents concerning the joint training of command bodies as well as forces and assets of the CSTO collective security system, documents concerning military technology cooperation, and other matters.
In addition to the defense ministers of the CSTO countries CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov will take part in the session.
