MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Minsk will play host to a regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states on 19 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The permanent plenipotentiary representatives will discuss the results of the CIS Council of Heads of Government meeting in Ashgabat on 31 May and the plan of action to implement the documents adopted at the Ashgabat meeting. The council is also set to review the joint plan of action of the CIS Executive Committee, the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives and the Commission for Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council to implement the instructions in furtherance of the decisions adopted at the CIS Ministerial Council meeting of 5 April and the proposals made by the heads of delegations during the meeting.
Members of the council will examine the proposals to the draft agendas of the regular meetings of the CIS Ministerial Council and the CIS Council of Heads of State due in Ashgabat on 10 and 11 October respectively.
The council will also review the activities of the interstate council on natural and man-made emergency situations. Chairman of the interstate council, Belarus First Deputy Emergencies Minister Aleksandr Khudoleyev will be the speaker on this issue.
The council will analyze the progress in the implementation of the CIS Turkmenistan Chairmanship Concept in 2019. The meeting will be attended by Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev.More about Politics
