Minsk hosts another round of talks on Ukraine

MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) - A regular round of talks to secure peaceful settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine is underway in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting of the working groups will be followed by the talks of the Trilateral Contact Group.

The previous meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group took place in Minsk on 19 June. The Security Working Group discussed the prospects of a ceasefire and disengagement of forces in the vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya. OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on resolving the situation in Ukraine's east Martin Sajdik said that the parties showed interest in the so-called “bread ceasefire” but that the text of the statement was yet to be agreed on. Martin Sajdik also expressed the hope that the separation of forces and means would happen but he could not yet call the exact date.
