MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – On 14 February, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with the newly-appointed representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Belarus Erol Arduç, BelTA has learned from the press office of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Belarus and UNHCR and the situation of Ukrainian refugees in Belarus,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
Sergei Aleinik noted that Belarus is interested in further active cooperation with UNHCR across all the issues included in the mandate of this important United Nations agency.
