MFA: Street democracy rules unacceptable on global stage

MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – The street democracy rules are unacceptable on the global stage, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on the recent statement of acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia, BelTA learned.

“Apparently the acting Prime Minister of Armenia sees himself an international prosecutor authorized to punish or pardon. Perhaps, this was acceptable in the case of former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khatchaturov. In interstate relations, however, there are clear norms of protocol and etiquette. Maybe, Mr. Pashinyan has not yet understood that the rules of the so-called street democracy are unacceptable in big politics. We hope the matter will be solved with time,” said Anatoly Glaz.
