MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – Polish Charge d'Affaires in Belarus Marcin Wojciechowski was summoned to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 27 August. The Belarusian side expressed a strong protest to him due to Poland's barefaced attempts to interfere in Belarus' domestic affairs, BelTA learned from Anatoly Glaz, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the source, the Belarusian side drew attention to clearly unfriendly statements made by a number of Polish politicians and government officials over the last few days. It was noted that such statements are inadmissible in communication between countries. It was stressed that any further attempts at external pressure on Belarus as well as appeals to violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Belarus are counterproductive.
