MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevics had a phone conversation on 12 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
Vladimir Makei informed his Latvian counterpart on the post-election situation in Belarus and on the attempts of foreign interference into Belarus' domestic affairs. Edgars Rinkevics gave Latvia's take on the ongoing developments.
The foreign ministers discussed prospects for Belarus-EU relations and emphasized the importance of preserving communication channels and maintaining a dialogue between Minsk and Brussels at various levels.
