Lyashenko conveys greetings from Belarus president to Zelensky

MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Lyashenko conveyed greetings from Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky who assumed office, BelTA learned from the embassy of Belarus in Ukraine.

The inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky took place at the Ukrainian parliament on 20 May. “Following the instruction of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko the Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lyashenko who conveyed greetings from the Belarusian head of state to Volodymyr Zelensky who assumed office,” BelTA learned from the diplomatic mission.

Igor Lyashenko also held a working meeting with Gennady Zubko, vice prime minister – minister of regional development, construction, housing and communal services of Ukraine. The sides discussed the current state of affairs and development prospects of the Belarusian-Ukrainian relations in trade and economy, preparations for the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine. Plans have been made hold the forum in Zhytomyr.
