MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – The United States of America is dismantling all arms control agreements, which leads to the escalation of tensions in various regions, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 26 November, BelTA has learned.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is in Minsk on a working visit. He has already met with Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei. A joint session of the collegiums of the Belarusian and Russian ministries of foreign affairs is also scheduled for 26 November. Apart from the bilateral relations, the agenda will include international issues.
“We will discuss all the key issues of the international politics: the Caucasus, the Middle East, Europe, the Euro-Atlantic region, where threats are piling up, because the United States is dismantling the agreements on arms control of any kind,” Sergey Lavrov said.
