MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – All EAEU member states will be able to join the Russian-Chinese economic partnership agreement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today at a joint meeting of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Belarus in Minsk on 21 November, BelTA has learned.

“The work on the Russian-Chinese partnership agreements continues. It will be open for accession by all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and other interested states,” Sergei Lavrov said.

According to the Russian minister, Moscow and Minsk are working hard to develop the Eurasian Economic Union, strengthen its ties with other states and associations. Special attention is paid to the EAEU alignment with China's Belt and Road project.

“Russia and Belarus are allies and like-minded souls in the international arena. We have consistently supported the efforts to enhance the authority of the integration associations in the CIS, to build equal and indivisible security in the Euro-Atlantic area, and counteract new challenges and threats on the solid basis of international law,” Sergei Lavrov said.
