
MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Amid the unprecedented sanctions pressure, we feel the support of the Turkish people, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said as she met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Belarus Mustafa Özcan in Minsk on 3 March, BelTA has learned.
Belarus and Türkiye maintain good, warm relations, the speaker noted. “The leaders of our countries, the presidents of Belarus and Türkiye, are on good terms, and this is worth a lot. We feel the support of the Turkish people. We appreciate this," Natalya Kochanova said.

"The parliaments have very good relations too, there are friendship groups. Our MPs participated in various events in Türkiye. We also invite Turkish MPs to visit Belarus to promote closer cooperation. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation to our colleagues, the MPs of Türkiye for supporting the Republic of Belarus at international venues. This is very important for us," the speaker emphasized. “We will continue to develop cooperation in absolutely all areas. We are grateful for the fact that in this difficult time for Belarus, when the country is dealing with the unprecedented sanctions pressure, you lent us a helping hand, and we are building many logistics chains through your country.”
