Japan set to reach new heights in cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Japan is determined to achieve new successes in promoting cooperation with Belarus, Charge d'Affaires of Japan to Belarus Hiroki Tokunaga said at an event in Minsk to celebrate the ascension to the throne of Japan's new emperor, BelTA has learned.

Hiroki Tokunaga noted that the ascension to the throne of the new emperor heralds the beginning of a new era in Japan's development and the country's relations with other states.

Sergei Rakhmanov, Chairman of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic, emphasized that Japan made a huge leap in its development in recent years. He expressed confidence that Japan will be able to maintain momentum.
