NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MOSCOW, 10 June (BelTA) - Russia believes that the Russian-Belarusian border which was closed on the initiative of the Russian Federation amid COVID-19 will be opened soon, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said during a video conference dedicated to the development prospects of the Belarus-Russia relations when asked by a BelTA reporter about the restoration of air and rail service between the two countries.
“As far as I know, steps will be taken [to restore the air and rail service between the two countries] as soon as the prospects with the pandemic dynamics become clearer,” Andrey Rudenko said. He assured that the Russian side has no desire to maintain the current status. The border between Belarus and Russia should be opened,” he said.
“I think that we will see the border operate in the previous free, open mode in the near future,” Andrey Rudenko added.
