
MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - The opening of the Zimbabwean embassy in Minsk has coincided with the visit of the Zimbabwean delegation to Belarus, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe Frederick Shava told the media after his meeting with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik on 27 March, BelTA has learned.

Frederick Shava thanked Belarus for assistance in matters related to the opening of a diplomatic mission of Zimbabwe. “We are grateful for the invaluable support in implementing the embassy opening project,” he said.
The official visit of the Zimbabwean foreign minister to Belarus is taking place on 26-30 March.


Following the recent state visit of the Belarusian president to Zimbabwe, the government has approved the roadmap for the implementation of the reached agreements. The document includes 65 events in various areas: policy and diplomacy, trade and economy, agriculture, military and technical sector, healthcare and medical science, investments, energy, equipment supplies and maintenance. Belarus will also continue its participation in the program to modernize and mechanize agriculture in Zimbabwe.
