MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to discuss with Lithuania all the existing problematic issues and also the possibilities of reaching compromise solutions on a mutually beneficial basis, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he met with Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius in Minsk on 4 February, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian minister is confident that the current visit of the Lithuanian minister and the talks in Minsk will provide an opportunity to undertake a concrete and substantive analysis of the state of bilateral cooperation and discuss the areas where the parties can move forward.

Vladimir Makei stressed that there may be disagreements between the parties at different levels, but the main thing is that Belarus and Lithuania are neighbors and need to find ways to solve the problems that exist in the bilateral relations.

The minister said that Belarus is interested in a mutually beneficial dialogue with Lithuania and is ready to discuss problematic topics.
Vladimir Makei welcomed the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and highlighted the potential for further development of Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation.
