FM: Belarus, Hungary maintain unbiased approaches to cooperation

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) - Belarus stands for an open, unbiased approach to building a dialogue with Hungary, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said at a meeting of the Belarusian-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Budapest on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

"We are sincerely grateful to Hungary for the opportunity to hold this meeting in Budapest," Sergei Aleinik said. “Raising the level of co-chairmanship in the commission to ministers, who are responsible, among other things, for foreign economic activity, is a clear confirmation of the political will to continue cooperation and the commitment to developing trade and economic cooperation."

"Therefore, we highly appreciate the fact that, despite the difficult geopolitical context, we maintain an unbiased position, an open, pragmatic approach to building bilateral relations," the Belarusian minister added. “For our part, we are also committed to the principles of equal and mutually respectful dialogue. We welcome friendly contacts, initiatives and are ready to discuss and find solutions to the most difficult issues."
