
MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – Belarus-Hungary cooperation is actively developing in various areas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik told journalists following his meeting with Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, BelTA has learned.
“At today's talks we have discussed the state and prospects of our cooperation. We separately explored the possibility of intensifying bilateral contacts, promoting inter-parliamentary dialogue and stepping up cooperation between the parliaments,” Sergei Aleinik noted.

The foreign ministries of the two countries signed a program of joint actions for 2023. According to the Belarusian foreign minister, the program provides for holding multi-level ministerial consultations in various areas. There are plans to boost cooperation in economy, education and culture.
Sergei Aleinik stressed that since the last visit of Peter Szijjarto to Belarus, a certain amount of work has been done to promote trade and economic cooperation; a significant number of bilateral meetings, negotiations between ministries and departments, individual enterprises, business associations have taken place.
The working group on agriculture convened literally two weeks before, on 31 January. Numerous business visits to Belarus and Hungary were held to map out new plans and projects.
