EU invites Belarus to attend Eastern Partnership's 10th anniversary events

MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – Belarus has received an invitation from the European Union to attend events, which will take place in Brussels, Belgium in May on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership Initiative, BelTA learned from Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on 18 April.

The minister said: “The proposals are being studied. We are examining the format of these events, looking at their content. We are going to submit the relevant proposals to the head of state.”

The decision to arrange a visit will be made depending on its importance and expected results. “There are many visits. It is important for them to produce concrete results,” Vladimir Makei stressed.

The 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership Initiative will be marked on 13 May. Leaders of the Eastern Partnership countries have been invited to participate in the event.
