MOSCOW, 25 May (BelTA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik called the alignment of the EAEU, the SCO and BRICS an important vector of integration as he talked to journalists in Moscow on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting on 25 May, BelTA has learned.
“Without a doubt, this is a very important area of work within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. This is not the first time this topic has been raised. Two points of the agenda of today's meeting dealt with cooperation with other international regional organizations and efforts to boost trade and economic cooperation with partners of the EAEU. Of course, taking into consideration the Western sanctions, this work is taking on new significance and we see new points of growth in the South and in the East,” the foreign minister said.
“We will step up this work. This is a very important vector of integration development of the Eurasian Economic Union. We need to join efforts and work hard to achieve convergence with the SCO and BRICS,” Sergei Aleinik added.
