Date for Belarus-Russia integration group meeting in the works

MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are working to set the date of a meeting of the bilateral working group to advance integration, Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told the media, BelTA has learned.

“There are proposals from Russian colleagues, there are proposals on our part. They are being actively analyzed and discussed by the working group,” Vladimir Makei noted. “You want all issues especially big ones resolved within a couple of weeks? “ he asked a rhetorical question.

The minister stressed that this will take time. According to him, probably the presidents of Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, discussed these issues at the meeting in Sochi and agreed on a certain algorithm of further interaction.

“Working contacts continue at all levels,” Vladimir Makei said.
