CSTO, CIS Anti-Terrorist Center discuss joint anti-terrorist exercises

MOSCOW, 27 December (BelTA) - CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas met with head of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center (ATC) Yevgeny Sysoev in Moscow on 26 December, CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.

"Stanislav Zas and Yevgeny Sysoev summed up the interaction between the CSTO Secretariat and the CIS ATC in countering terrorist threats in 2022 and mapped out the plans for cooperation for 2023. The parties also discussed the participation of both structures in joint exercises of special units of law enforcement agencies and special services held both by the CIS ATC and the CSTO," the spokesman noted.

The head of the CIS ATC honored the CSTO secretary general with the medal for services to the fight against terrorism.

On 26 December, Stanislav Zas also met with Chairman of the Coordination Service of the CIS Border Troops Commanders Council Aleksandr Manilov. The parties summed up the cooperation between the CSTO Secretariat and the Coordination Service and outlined the measures to implement the protocol on cooperation in the border sector for 2023.
