MOSCOW, 14 February (BelTA) - The expansion of the Collective Security Treaty Organization is not yet on the agenda though there are opportunities for it, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov told a press conference in Moscow on 14 February, BelTA has learned.
"There has been and will be a possibility the organization's enlargement," Anatoly Sidorov noted. “All opportunities are open for the friendly countries that will want to become partners first, observers and then members. There is a corresponding legal framework. But I will not get ahead of myself, I just want to say that if the Collective Security Treaty Organization grows larger, we will always be ready to accept new members into the common system of joint operational combat training.”
