CIS justice ministers to meet in Dushanbe on 22 September

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) - The 17th meeting of the CIS Justice Ministers Council is set to take place in Dushanbe on 22 September, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting will be attended by delegations of the Justice Ministries of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the CIS basic organization in notarial activity.

The draft agenda includes more than 10 issues. The council members are expected to discuss the legal regulation of certain areas of activity of the Justice Ministries and take stock of progress in joint work.

Plans are in place to consider issues related to free legal assistance to citizens, cooperation in notarial activities, implementation of state (administrative) services, and also approaches to the optimization (inventory) of normative legal acts of the CIS member states.

The participants of the meeting are also set to approve the plan of main activities of the CIS Justice Ministers Council for 2024, which outlines priority areas for further development of legal cooperation in the CIS.
