NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – For the past 20 years, the CIS has conducted 119 election observation missions in the CIS countries, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev told reporters, BelTA has learned.
"For 20 years since the institution of the CIS mission was established, we have conducted 119 observation missions in the CIS countries for parliamentary and presidential elections and referendums. We have gained good experience in this regard," Sergei Lebedev noted.
The CIS headquarters is hosting another next meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives. The permanent representatives are set to discuss the activities of the CIS observation missions for the presidential and parliamentary elections and the referendums in the CIS states in 2021-2022.
Members of the council also intend to consider the draft agenda of the next meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council which will be held in Sochi on 7 June.
