
MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - Belarusian intelligence officers have been honored with Russian state awards, Chairman of the Belarusian State Security Committee Ivan Tertel told the media as he commented on the drone attacks on Moscow, BelTA has learned.
Ivan Tertel noted that the work of the security agencies is not public and therefore he cannot disclose all the information in this regard. However, he noted that the special services of Belarus and Russia keep in close touch.
"You have to understand the limitations and secretive nature of our work. We do this work, we gather information. I would put it this way: we share tips with our Russian friends and colleagues, we gather and transit certain information. Today, in gratitude (I will not disclose for what), a number of officers of our foreign intelligence will be presented with awards of the Russian Federation," the head of the KGB said.
