Belarusian government resigns

MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian government has resigned as the newly elected president has been announced. The appropriate resolution No. 480 of the Council of Ministers of 15 August was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 17 August, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian government has resigned before the newly elected president in line with Article 106 of the Constitution, Article 9 of Law No.424-З “On the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus” of 23 July 2008.

The resolution comes into force on the day it is published.

As it has been reported, the head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to prepare the documents on the further work of the government. The president noted that the government has been largely formed. Though there can be some nuances, he added.
