Belarusian foreign minister, UN secretary general discuss global, regional security

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Secretary General of the United Nations Organization Antonio Guterres, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Sergei Aleinik and Antonio Guterres discussed matters of global and regional security, Belarus' role in the region, and interaction with UN bodies.

Sergei Aleinik confirmed the Belarus president's invitation for the UN secretary general to visit Belarus.

In turn, Antonio Guterres stressed that in his opinion, Belarus is interested in peace in its region like no other country.
