Belarusian ambassador presents credentials to Hungarian president

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary Alexander Ponomarev has presented credentials to Hungarian President Janos Ader, BelTA learned from the diplomatic mission.

During the half-hour conversation with the head of state, the parties stressed the interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation in all the areas, with particular emphasis on further strengthening of trade and economic ties. The parties also emphasized the need for joint efforts to develop cooperation in the fields of education, sports and tourism.

At the end of the meeting, Alexander Ponomarev signed the Book of Distinguished Guests. The ambassador also laid a wreath at the monument to the Unknown Soldier in the central square of Budapest, Heroes' Square.
