Belarus, Vietnam to enhance information exchange

MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam are seeking ways to enhance information exchange. This was subject to discussion at the meeting of Belarus Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas and Member of the Cental Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Head of the Information and Education Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists' Association Nguyen Thuan Huu, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties noted that Belarus-Vietnam relations have achieved a high level of trust and stressed the willingness of the two countries to strengthen them further. The parties are set to discuss promising ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various areas, including in information exchange andf international information security.

The parties confirmed mutual interest in developing bilateral relations in public information and interaction with mass media. They also agreed to intensify direct cooperation between information ministries and journalist communities of the Belarus and Vietnam.
