Belarus-Vietnam dialogue needs additional impetus

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam need to add an additional impetus to their dialogue, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said as he met with Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan in Minsk on 12 December, BelTA has learned.

According to Vladimir Andreichenko, Belarus and Vietnam are bound by years of friendship and mutual support. “Today it is of principle importance for the dialogue we have to continue and receive an additional impetus,” he said.

MPs can contribute a lot in this regard, the speaker believes. The parties are interested in paying more attention to trade and economic cooperation, including in the ASEAN and EAEU markets, to cooperation in the inter-parliamentary organizations.

“We need to look for new forms of cooperation to boost our economies, to develop our cooperation across all areas,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan thanked the Belarusian side for the warm welcome. She noted that the goal of her visit is to develop and deepen traditional friendship, multifaceted cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam, including at the level of parliaments.
