Belarus, Uzbekistan sign plan of cooperation in security for 2018-2019

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - The Security Council Offices of Belarus and Uzbekistan signed a plan of cooperation for 2018-2019, BelTA learned from the press service of the Security Council of Belarus.

The document was signed during the working visit State Secretary of Belarus' Security Council Stanislav Zas to Tashkent and his meeting with Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov.

The parties discussed the status of implementation of the joint projects in the military and military-technical fields, law enforcement, crime prevention and disaster management, protection of the population against emergency situations, the exchange of information and experiences between the customs authorities, and reviewed the prospects for future cooperation.

Consultations were also held between representatives of the Security Council Offices of the two countries. The parties exchanged views on topical issues in the field of international and national security and on the ways of strengthening the cooperation to counter contemporary threats and challenges.
