Belarus, Turkey in agreement on international agenda

MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Turkey have no fundamental differences of opinion, including in approaches to the most important regional and international affairs. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei made the statement after negotiations with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on 28 August, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Makei stressed that Turkey is one of the key partners of Belarus in the region. “We set a high value on cooperation with this country,” the Belarusian minister of foreign affairs noted.

In his words, the official visit of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Turkey in April 2019 strengthened the positive accomplishments, which were secured in Belarus-Turkey relations in the last few years.

Vladimir Makei said: “During the negotiations we discussed a broad range of matters on the bilateral agenda and the international one in a traditionally open and friendly manner. I would like to once again emphasize that we have no fundamental differences of opinion with Turkey, including in approaches to the most important regional and international affairs.”
