Belarus, Switzerland to discuss bilateral cooperation in Minsk

MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Switzerland will hold minsterial consultations in Minsk on 18 December, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the media, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko. The Swiss delegation will be headed by Deputy State Secretary of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Krystyna Marty Lang. The diplomats will discuss the development of bilateral cooperation, cooperation in international organizations, human rights and international security issues.

Oleg Kravchenko and Krystyna Marty Lang will also take part in the event to discuss mediation and preventive diplomacy organized by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the European Institute of Peace.

On the same day, Bucharest will host consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Romania. In the context of Romania's presidency in the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2019, the parties will discuss issues related to Belarus' cooperation with the EU, as well as prospects for Belarusian-Romanian cooperation in the Eastern Partnership format.
