Belarus, Switzerland exchange information on coronavirus response measures

MINSK, 7 July (BelTA) - Belarus and Switzerland exchanged the information on measures to curb the spread of coronavirus infection, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

“On 7 July 2020 Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko had a telephone conversation with acting State Secretary Krystyna Marty of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. The parties discussed a wide range of issues on the Belarusian-Swiss agenda, the current situation in the region, multilateral cooperation, and touched upon the election campaign in the Republic of Belarus,” the press service noted.

The parties exchanged the information on the steps taken by Belarus and Switzerland to curb the spread of coronavirus infection.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for implementing the agreements reached during the visit of the member of the Federal Council, the Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, to Belarus in February 2020.
