Belarus, Serbia discuss cooperation in culture, publishing business

MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Serbia Valery Brylev met with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture and Information Maja Gojkovic on 15 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the Belarusian-Serbian cooperation in culture and publishing business. They stressed mutual interest in advancing cooperation, including in exchange of art and book exhibitions and participation in competitions and festivals hosted by Belarus and Serbia.

Valery Brylev and Maja Gojkovic also outlined important fields of joint activities for the near future, for example, organizing days of culture and drawing up a program of cooperation between the appropriate ministries for a five-year period.

The parties also discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation in cinematography and ways to strengthen interregional ties in humanitarian affairs.
