
MOSCOW, 21 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko reaffirmed their commitment to jointly counteracting Western interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its website, BelTA has learned.
"The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Russia with partners from among friendly countries, in particular in the Latin American region, and in multilateral organizations. It was agreed to increase coordination and mutual support in the international arena within the framework of the current bilateral program of coherent actions in foreign policy," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The parties reaffirmed their commitment to jointly counteracting the illegitimate sanctions aggression by the collective West and its interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
