Belarus-Russia integration discussed ahead of Union State Council of Ministers meeting

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas and First Vice Premier, Minister of Finance of Russia Anton Siluanov have discussed integration between the two countries and preparations for the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.

“After the meeting of the two heads of state in Sochi our cooperation has become more fruitful. We have made headway in many issues and approximated our positions together on the matters still unresolved. By the end of the year we will have a series of meetings: the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Union State Council of Ministers. I think that the meeting of the high-level group will help us find solutions to many issues and submit fully-harmonized decisions for these events,” said Sergei Rumas.

For his part, Anton Siluanov suggested discussing some urgent issues of bilateral cooperation. “I would like to talk about our interaction in the Eurasian integration format and in the Union State,” he added.
