
MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia have exchanged views on topical issues of pan-European security, including issues of NATO, the EU and the Council of Europe. These issues were discussed on 5 April at the Belarusian-Russian ministerial consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers with the participation of Russian and Belarusian permanent representatives to the OSCE. The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich, the Russian delegation - by Alexander Grushko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Aiming at greater coordination within the Union State, the parties discussed the prospects of promoting joint priorities within the OSCE,” the ministry added.
Yuri Ambrazevich also met with Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Vershinin to discuss the areas of further cooperation between Belarus and Russia within the UN.
