MOSCOW, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have condemned the West's actions to foment the Ukrainian crisis and have called for Ukraine's return to a neutral status, reads the joint statement adopted by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov following their Moscow talks. The statement outlines foreign policy priorities of Belarus and Russia, BelTA has learned.

“We condemn the actions of Western countries aimed at stoking the Ukrainian crisis and dragging it out. We believe that it can be resolved by political and diplomatic means, and we are in favor of Ukraine's return to a neutral non-bloc status and its rejection of the Nazi and militaristic state policy,” the document reads.
