Belarus receives no official proposal on BelNPP from Lithuanian PM

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – Belarus has not received any official proposal regarding the nuclear power plant under construction in Belarus from the Lithuanian prime minister, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

“As of 11 March 2019, the Belarusian side has not officially received any proposal from the Lithuanian prime minister. If such a proposal is received, the Republic of Belarus will voice its position and rationale in an official statement and will not disseminate it through mass media,” the press service informed.

Some Lithuanian and Belarusian mass media outlets reported that Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis sent a letter to his Belarusian counterpart Sergei Rumas containing a proposal on the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
