“You know that we continue working on the organization of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting due on 17 July. We expect that it will be held in a face-to-face format. We are ready for it," Roman Golovchenko said.

The prime minister also suggested organizing a bilateral meeting with the chairman of the Russian government and holding a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.

Roman Golovchenko noted that the situation with the coronavirus has affected contacts at the interstate level, but now the situation is changing, the interaction is picking up steam. For example, last week the foreign ministers of Belarus and Russia signed an agreement on mutual recognition of visas. The Belarusian head of government hailed the agreement as a landmark document and expressed confidence that it will work for the benefit of the two countries.
