Belarus-Poland inter-parliamentary cooperation discussed in Warsaw

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation headed by Andrei Naumovich, Chairperson of the Standing Commission on Human Rights, National Relations and Mass Media, head of the working group on cooperation with the Polish Parliament at Belarus' National Assembly, is in Warsaw on a visit,BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

The Belarusian MPs met with Ryszard Terlecki, Deputy Marshal of the Polish Sejm, and Maria Koc, Deputy Marshal of the Polish Senate. “The parties discussed the ways of enhancing bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation,” the press service said.

The Belarusian MPs will stay in Poland till 20 September. At the invitation of the Polish party they will visit Warsaw, Bialystok and Suprasl. The Belarusian delegation is scheduled to meet with the authorities of Podlaskie Voivodeship, members of the Polish-Belarusian parliamentary group, representatives of the Belarusian national minority and Polish business community.
