Belarus, Moldova discuss dialogue in modern context

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Anatoly Kalinin met with Executive Secretary of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Vlad Batrincea and Member of the PSRM Executive Committee Olga Cebotari, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Chisinau.

The meeting touched upon the topic of increasing tensions in the region and noted the need to make every effort to maintain stability and peace in the Republic of Moldova.

Prospects for bilateral cooperation, including inter-parliamentary dialogue, and the interaction within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States were discussed.

Vlad Batrincea noted that the Republic of Belarus is one of the most important partners of Moldova in terms of trade, economy and technology.

The Belarusian Ambassador stressed that there is great potential for further development of bilateral cooperation, which meets the interests of both countries. The parties agreed to continue constructive interaction.
